An estimated 3.6 percent of U.S. adults have Post-Traumatic Stress Disorder (PTSD), according to the National Institute of Mental Health. Post-traumatic stress disorder (PTSD), a type of anxiety disorder, can result from a deeply threatening event, namely violent personal assaults, disasters, accidents, or sustained abuse. PTSD may cause persistent, frightening thoughts and memories, sleep problems, and a feeling of detachment.

People with PTSD can have insomnia, flashbacks, low self-esteem, and a lot of painful or unpleasant emotions. PTSD treatment can involve many stages and requires patience as it can take a long time before symptoms improve. Some patients may have to completely change their lives in order to facilitate recovery.

Care.Wallet will change a patient’s life by helping PTSD management. With Care.Wallet people will be able to choose their provider, schedule appointments, and even book a ride to get to their appointment, all while using their smartphone. With the How Are You Feeling Today (HAYFT) Care.Card, doctors, family members, and others can track a patient’s progress, and make recommendations accordingly. The Manage My Prescription Care.Card will enable patients and doctors to work together to find the best medication.

The Global Tele-Health Exchange will provide patients a chance to visit a doctor any hour of the day from anywhere. Around-the-clock availability is important because a stressful situation can arise at any time. A therapist could have patients develop stress management skills to help them better handle stressful situations or to work through an emotional crisis.

Solve.Care will change healthcare around the world for the better.
