Solve.Care and Huobi Coronavirus Donation Campaign Raises Over $15,000
COVID-19, the global health pandemic gripping the world, has permeated every facet of society irrespective of location, gender, race, or social status. In a bid to halt the spread of the virus, we have had to change our lifestyles, routines, and working conditions and are slowly beginning to adapt to a “new normal”.
During these times of uncertainty we have witnessed many acts of kindness from people and businesses all around the world. In order to come together, people are staying apart, and communities are working together to protect their most vulnerable.
As a global healthcare platform dedicated to improving the healthcare journey for patients, Solve.Care couldn’t just stand on the sidelines and watch. We were keen to play our part and, at the beginning of February, we partnered with Singapore-based trading platform Huobi to donate and offer support to Project HOPE to help in the fight against Coronavirus. Project HOPE is an organization that works with communities, healthcare workers, and public health systems to assist those working on the frontline of the world’s health challenges. To kickstart the campaign, both Solve.Care and Huobi donated the equivalent of 1 BTC in their respective tokens.
Following the conclusion of the fundraiser, Solve.Care is delighted to announce that $15,228 was gifted to Project HOPE. Our donation, along with others, has allowed Project HOPE to deliver more than five million pieces of Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) to healthcare workers on the frontlines in China. Project HOPE is working tirelessly to help manage the spread of the virus in the United States as well as other countries globally, by helping to deliver PPE, and training healthcare workers on the protocol for handling pandemic treatment and care.
The latest data from Johns Hopkins CSSE indicates there are more than three million confirmed Coronavirus cases around the world. While the fight against COVID-19 can seem like an uphill battle at times, as the world comes together while staying apart, Solve.Care is committed to help in this fight in any way we can.
